At the 2022 International Business Awards held within The Stevie Awards, one of the world's leading business awards, our distribution company Adm Elektrik became the owner of Golden Stevie in the field of "Communication and Public Relations Campaign of the Year" with the ’New Home for Storks’ corporate social responsibility project in the environmental category.
Adm Elektrik, who hosted storks in electricity poles in Aydın, Denizli and Muğla provinces during migration periods, won the award within the scope of the works he carried out to ensure the safe survival of storks who came to the region in the spring months with his social responsibility project. Our company, which contributes to the protection of nature and natural life with 700 nests in the region and 6 thousand storks it hosts every year, cooperates with Ege University, Faculty of Science Biology Department, Ecosystem Protection and Nature Lovers Association and 4th Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry for the sustainability, nesting and counting of the stork population.
While our Adm Electricity General Manager Ahmet Bayramoğlu expressed his happiness about the award received, he said: "Since 2009, we have been hosting storks in our region and we continue to work for a sustainable nature. In our project, which has been going on for more than 13 years, we hosted thousands of storks on our life platforms that we built on our power poles. We continue to cooperate with the people of the region and non-governmental organizations to meet their needs. We support the protection of the ecological balance of nature with thousands of nests in our service area, and we are happy to host more than 80 thousand storks in total since 2009. Adm Elektrik had previously received a Platinum Award in the "Sustainable Development Awards, The Branch of Life on Land" at the Corporate Social Responsibility Summit organized by the Turkey Corporate Social Responsibility Association.
