Launched in 2022 in cooperation with Aydem Retail and Gediz Retail and Young Guru Academy (YGA), our "YGA Science Mobilization/Your Energy Your Future" project, which aims to enable children to learn energy saving by experiencing it from a young age, continues unabated. Developed for 2023 with the concept of 'Sustainable Smart Cities', our project is getting ready to meet with children in Samsun, Zonguldak, Ankara and Diyarbakır in addition to İzmir, Manisa, Denizli, Muğla and Aydın.
Children Meet Science.
Within the scope of the project, which enables children to learn about energy saving by experiencing it from an early age, one-to-one science sessions have been held with 150 students in six disadvantaged schools in the Aegean Region last year. The awareness of hundreds of children on the subject has been raised in schools where science kits have been donated.
The theme of the Project this year is Sustainable Smart Cities.
The project has been renewed this year and continues with the concept of "Sustainable Smart Cities" under the main theme of energy saving. In the sessions, topics such as renewable energy resources and sustainable use of these resources, environmental pollution, recycling, smart city planning are covered. Children first construct their cities with science kits, then design their own sustainable cities in ten steps with their smart choices, in the game specially prepared for the project, using virtual reality glasses. At the end of the session, children are presented with puzzles of the cities they have designed and are given incentive rewards to continue their smart choices.
At the end of the sessions, it is aimed that children's daily behavioral patterns change for the better and that their families accompany these behaviors creating a holistic awareness.
