Aydem Renewables has commissioned the Uşak Hybrid SPP, Turkey's largest hybrid solar power plant (SPP) with a capacity of 82.15 MW. Uşak Hybrid SPP, where 155 thousand double-faced panels that are 20 percent more efficient than standard panels have been used, will provide maximum performance, especially in winter, by generating energy even from the light reflected from the snow on the ground
Expressing his great pride in realizing Uşak Hybrid SPP, the General Manager of Aydem Renewables, Ömer Fatih Keha said, "With our SPP established as an additional source to our existing wind power plant in Uşak, we have put into service the hybrid solar power plant with the largest installed capacity in our country."
Ömer Fatih Keha: “With the Uşak Hybrid SPP, the annual energy needs of 59 thousand 420 households will be met.”
Pointing out that Uşak Hybrid SPP has a more efficient energy production capability compared to the similar solar power plants with its technical features, Ömer Fatih Keha said, "A total of 155 thousand panels have been used in our project, which has a single axis tracking construction system that will provide energy production in the most efficient manner. All the panels we have used had 'double surface' panel technology. We aim to provide maximum performance, especially in winter, by generating energy even from the light reflected from the snow on the ground. Thanks to this technology, we anticipate to generate 20 percent more energy compared to the standard solar panels. With the Uşak Hybrid SPP, which will generate 164 GWh of energy annually, the annual electricity needs of 59,420 households shall be met. With the energy generated, we plan to prevent 106,305 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. This is equal to the emission amount of approximately 259 thousand red pine trees. I wish that Uşak Hybrid SPP, which shall contribute to the energy supply and sustainable future of Türkiye with its clean energy production, will be beneficial for our country. As Aydem Renewables, we will continue to invest in our future by adding new ones to our hybrid SPP projects, the first of which we have added to our portfolio in Uşak."
Keha: “In the first 6 months, we have increased our capacity by 136 MW, and we will increase it by another 60 MW by the end of the year.”
Speaking about the company's growth strategy, Keha said, "We are taking firm steps towards meeting our targets in line with our diversified investment strategies which we implement by focusing on WPP, SPP and storage systems. Recently, we have commissioned 54 MW capacity at Uşak WPP. In the first 6 months of 2023, we have increased our capacity by 136 MW with the Uşak Hybrid SPP. This year, we aim to increase our total installed power by 60 MW, 48 MW of which at Uşak WPP and 12 MW at Söke WPP. In this context, we have completed the installation of 11 turbines in Uşak WPP. We have obtained the ministerial acceptance for 9 of the completed turbines. At the site where we shall accomplish the instalment of 17 turbines in total, the assembly and installation works of the remaining turbines are ongoing gradually one by one.
Keha: “Our investments continue with the goal of doubling our installed capacity within three years.”
Pointing out that the investment studies continue in full in line with the goal of doubling our installed capacity by the end of 2025, Keha said, "We aim to increase our installed capacity by 151 MW with the investments we shall make by the end of 2024. In this context, we will focus on 'Terrestrial Hybrid SPP', 'Floating Hybrid SPP' and 'WPP Capacity Increase' projects. This year, we will complete the permit processes of our investments in question. In 2025, we shall increase our total installed capacity to 2,469 MW, including the 500 MW battery plant together with our investments in generation facilities with storage. By the end of 2025, in addition to more than doubling the installed capacity of our portfolio, we shall also increase our resource diversity."
